Rapid development of reliable embedded systems

The RapidiTTy® Pro product suite supports the rapid development and testing of reliable embedded systems based on microcontrollers, FPGAs and embedded PCs.

A key benefit of RapidiTTy® Pro is the ease with which projects can be migrated between targets: for example, developers can prototype on an x86 platform and migrate the final design to a microcontroller- or FPGA-based product within a few minutes. Alternatively, microcontroller-based designs which have “run out of steam” can be “ported up” to an Intel® Atom platform with equal ease.

What happens next?

RapidiTTy® Pro v2.0 will be released in May 2010.

This major upgrade will provide:

• A fully-integrated development environment supporting all targets (MCUs, FPGAs and x86) with a single IDE.
• Enhanced support for rapid migration between different targets, including both migration within target families (for example, move your complete design between ARM®7 and Cortex-M3 processors with a few clicks of a mouse), and between target families (for example, migrate your ARM® design to Intel® Atom - or vice versa - with ease).
• Enhanced support for detailed timing analysis on your target hardware (not just in simulation).
• A new flexible and highly-configurable version of the InfiniTTy® RTOS that can meet a range of system task requirements (including timeline scheduling) and provide the benefits of reduced task jitter as well as controlled power consumption.

Customers with active maintenance programmes will receive this update automatically.
