RapidiTTy Designer

RapidiTTy product logo

UML and SysML have emerged as effective ways of representing requirements and designs for complex embedded systems. Used appropriately, UML / SysML can represent systems in a compact, portable manner which is easy to understand.

Our RapidiTTy Designer tools provide users with a lightweight, tightly integrated suite of design tools based on UML / SysML standards. RapidiTTy Design allows users to record requirements and designs (at system, sub-system and component level) and maintain full traceability between these different system representations.

A custom product

In our experience, every organisation developing reliable embedded systems has different requirements. We therefore develop custom versions of our RapidiTTy Designer toolsets to match the needs of a specific customer.

In most cases, RapidiTTy Designer products are provided with a set of matched development processes which are (again) fully customised to meet the needs of the organisation concerned.

Initial low-cost, low-risk product demo

When dealing with a new customer, we usually begin by meeting (with a mutual NDA in place) to discuss tool requirements. If we think we can help, we then develop an initial demo toolset for a small fixed fee (usually in the region of £5,000 + VAT). The demo toolset is not fully functional but provides a means of confirming our understanding of your requirements.

By paying to have a demo system produced, you are not obliged to agree to the development of a complete, licensed, toolset. If you do purchase a full toolset (within three months of completion of the demo), the fee for the demo system will be refunded.

Price guide

We believe in being open about our product prices.

Our typical fee for developing a version of RapidiTTy Designer to match your precise requirements will be around £50,000 + VAT. For this, you will receive 10 licences for the toolset. You will also receive training in the use of the tool and — if required — guidance on related development processes.

The toolset licence is permanent and the fee includes one year of product support. Ongoing product and process support can be provided at an annual fee of approximately 20% of the initial purchase price.

Additional licences can be provided (from around £3,000 + VAT per copy, with lower prices at high volumes).

Additional training can be provided in various ways (public courses, on-site courses, “Distance Learning” formats).
