Developing high-integrity embedded systems is a challenging activity, not least because, with many designs, we need to have the hardware platform in place before we can perform detailed softwarte development — but it is often very diffcult to work out what the hardware requirements will be until we have prototyped the software.
Our SafeTTy™ family can help to “bridge” this software / hardware gap, allowing you to get reliable products to your customers more quickly.
The SafeTTy™ family provides a perfect platform for the rapid development of high-integrity control units (e.g. ECUs) for use with electric and hybrid vehicles, monitoring systems for use in automotive, aerospace or medical systems, and many other application targets and sectors.
Members of the SafeTTy family provide complete hardware solutions, based on TTE32 processors and all required interface electronics and support circuitry.
SafeTTy platforms may employ several processors (in “dual lane”, “lock step” or similar arrangements) and / or MoniTTor™ protection systems, in order to meet reliability requirements (up to ASIL D, SIL 3, DO-178 Level A, etc).

SafeTTy™ platforms provide:
For high-integrity designs, we can provide dual-CAN interfaces (with full hardware and software support).
Please contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
As you would expect, all SafeTTy™ hardware platforms are supported by a complete set of matching RapidiTTy® software tools, allowing you to develop your software to relevant standards (e.g. ISO 26262).
Where required, we can provide additional software libraries (or complete software designs) to meet the needs of your project.
Where required, SafeTTy solutions are available in forms that meet all required electrical and related standards (e.g. IP67). Different members of the SafeTTy family can therefore meet the needs of early protypes, right through to volume production.
We can provide a custom SafeTTy platform to meet the requirements of a specific product or product line.
Where we develop custom SafeTTy solutions — hardware and / or software — for a customer, all (foreground) IP can be assigned. The customer is then free to go into volume production and develop / adapt the design (as required) for future products, subject only to a small royalty payment.

The SafeTTy 100 family is the first in a new series of generic products that will be released over a 12-month period from early March 2012.
All SafeTTy 100 family members are based on an Altera® DE0 FPGA board, which is configured as a single-core TTE32 microcontroller.
Members of the SafeTTy 100 family provide simple, cost-effective prototyping and development platforms for a range of application sectors.
The SafeTTy 100 family has three members:
A full processor datasheet will be available shortly.
While the SafeTTy 100 family is primarily intended as a platform for evaluation, prototyping and teaching, the SafeTTY c100 and SafeTTy x100 products may be used to develop production systems (subject to certain restrictions on the application sectors in which the Altera DEO board may be employed).
SafeTTy e100 provides users with a very comprehensive set of RapidiTTy Builder software development tools which is targetted (only) at the Altera DE0 board.
Please note that the DE0 board is not included with the SafeTTy e100 package: however, the boards are readily available (on an international basis) from TeraAsic and various distributors.
SafeTTy e100 is free of charge and is available only:
The SafeTTy e100 package is released with a non-commercial licence: it may be used only for evaluation and training purposes and may not be used to create products which are sold — or given away — to third parties.
SafeTTy e100 will be launched in early March 2012. Further information will be available shortly.
You will find a simple case study illustrating the use of the SafeTTy e100 package on our YouTube® channel.
The SafeTTy c100 package is a commercial release of the SafeTTy e100 package.
The cost of the SafeTTy c100 package is £995 (+ VAT where applicable) per seat.
SafeTTy c100 will be launched in early March 2012. Further information will be available shortly.
The SafeTTy x100 package includes a complete (boxed) hardware platform and matched software development tools. It is released with a commercial licence.
The cost of the SafeTTy c100 package is £1495 (+ VAT where applicable) per seat.
Additional hardware platforms (without software licences) can be supplied where required.
SafeTTy e100 will be launched in early April 2012. Further information will be available shortly.
The SafeTTy 200 family provides a more powerful hardware platform than the SafeTTy 100 family with support for multiple CAN channels.
The SafeTTy 200 family will be released in Q3 2012.
Further information will be available shortly.
The SafeTTy 300 family provides an advanced multi-core hardware platform.
The SafeTTy 300 family will be released in Q4 2012.
Further information will be available shortly.
An advanced and powerful platform suitable for use in high-integrity systems.
Further information will be available shortly.

We have created a short brochure that provides an overview of some of the ways in which products and services from TTE Systems may be able to help your organisation to develop reliable embedded systems in compliance with ISO 26262 requirements.
