DVD Training Packages

Training DVDs from TTE Systems allow you to learn about the creation of reliable embedded systems without leaving your home or office

At present, our public training courses are delivered in the UK and in Malaysia.

For people based in different locations, while we can deliver custom courses — but we appreciate that this may not be a cost-effective solution for individuals or smaller organisations. We have therefore begun to release DVD training packages based on our public courses.

Our DVD training packages are intended to form the basis of a complete “teach yourself” training programme.

Available DVD training packages

The following DVD Training Package is now available:

Module A1a: Programming techniques for reliable embedded systems

This module provides an introduction to the benefits that can be obtained by developing reliable embedded systems using time-triggered (TT) architectures. By the end of the module, you will understand both the strengths and weaknesses of this approach to system development. The seminars cover key programming techniques which can be employed to create reliable TT systems for use in a wide range of sectors. Both single-processor and multi-processor (distributed) systems are discussed. All programming examples are in ‘C’, and the MISRA C guidelines are introduced.

Full DVD Training Packages for the Module A1a: Programming techniques for reliable embedded systems (“Embedded C”) training module contain the following:

  • One DVD for each of the four main seminars in the module (around 7 hours of training in total)
  • A printed set of course notes
  • A printed copy of “Embedded C”
  • A printed copy of the MISRA C guidelines

Please note that no DVD coverage is provided for the case study in Day 5 of this module.

Of course, watching DVDs and reading books and course notes can be helpful — but effective training involves “rolling up your sleeves” and working on some realistic example problems, in order to put theory into practice.

The Standard Edition of the DVD Training Packages for the Module A1a therefore also contains the following:

  • A set of exercise sheets and exercise solutions (to reinforce the material introduced in the seminars)
  • A copy of the RapidiTTy Lite software package, for use while you complete the exercises.

All DVDs and course material are in English at the present time.

Pricing

Orders are now being accepted for the Module A1a DVD Training Packages (Standard Edition, Single User) at a cost of £250 (plus delivery costs).

UK VAT (20%) may be payable (depending on the location to which the package is shipped).
