We provide information about product updates and support on this page, including information (for customers) who wish to obtain support by e-mail or by ‘phone.
Eligibility for product updates and product support
- Except where otherwise stated explicitly (e.g. RapidiTTy™ FPGA Development Edition), RapidiTTy™ products are sold with a 12-month period of maintenance and support (M&S) included in the purchase price.
- To allow time for product purchase and installation, the “M&S End Date” for your product is the date of your product invoice plus 13 months. For example, if your invoice for the purchase of 10 copies of RapidiTTy™ MCU was dated 23 June 2009, your M&S End Date (for all products on this invoice) would be 23 July 2010.
- During the support period (that is, prior to the M&S End Date): [i] Customers are entitled to receive all product updates (that is, both ‘major’ and ‘minor’ updates) for their product; [ii] Customers are entitled to receive product support, by e-mail and ‘phone.

Renewing your M&S agreement
As your M&S End Date approaches, you have three options:
- You may continue to use the product (indefinitely) on the same computer system. However, you will not be entitled to further support or product updates. Please also note that a fee may be charged if you wish to move your licence to another computer system.
- You may renew the M&S agreement for a further 12 months for a fee of 20% (+VAT as applicable) of the current purchase price of the product concerned. To qualify for this pricing, you must place the order to renew the M&S agreement before your M&S End Date. On receipt of payment for your renewal, your M&S End Date will be extended by 12 months.
- You may renew the M&S agreement for a further 36 months for a fee of 50% (+VAT as applicable) of the current purchase price of the product concerned. To qualify for this pricing, you must place the order to renew the M&S agreement before your M&S End Date. On receipt of payment for your renewal, your M&S End Date will be extended by 36 months.
Customers may continue to extend their M&S agreements (indefinitely) under these arrangements.
Once your M&S agreement expires, you are not entitled to renew under the terms above. In these circumstances, you may renew the M&S agreement for a further 12 months for a fee of 30% (+VAT as applicable) of the current purchase price of the product concerned. To qualify for this pricing, you must place the order to renew the M&S agreement within 3 months of your M&S End Date. On receipt of payment for your renewal, your M&S End Date will be extended by 12 months. You are then free to further extend your M&S agreements under the arrangements above.
